Allen Bradley's 1734-TOP POINT I / O terminal base is a one-piece base, meaning it is intended to be used as a mounting base with integrated 8-terminal screw clamps seat. 1734-TOP provides wiring for digital input / output / relay modules, analog input / output modules and special modules, so it has a wide range of applications in industrial automation. The POINT I / O terminal base can be mounted directly on the DIN rail horizontally or vertically, and will be connected to the field power bus distribution and backplane communication. Mechanical keying of the 1734-TOP terminal base prevents incorrect module placement. When the POINT I / O system implements a "toolless" design, it provides a smooth assembly process without using any tools to set up I / O modules using terminal blocks.

The 1734-TOP handle, DIN rail lock screws and mechanical keying (both orange) and terminal block are the main components of the 1734-TOP terminal base, all of which are kept at 49 x 12 x 144 mm (1.93 x 0.47 x 5.67) (In inches) and a weight of 63.8 grams (2.25 ounces).

The 1734-TOP terminal has a wire diameter of 0.25 or 2.5 mm (22 to 14 AWG), a screw torque of 0.6 Nm (7 lb-inch), and a maximum supply voltage of 300 V and maximum terminal current. The power is 8A, and the power supply voltage of the field power bus ranges from 28.8 volts DC to 120 or 240 volts AC.

To begin installing the 1734-TOP module, place the base vertically above any existing unit (adapter, existing module or power supply), then slide the base down to interlock with the side panel of the terminal, and then directly connect the unit with the Either side joins the side. Finally, press the module down firmly to secure it on the DIN rail until it clicks into place. Before inserting the I / O module, its locking screw should remain level and in the "locked" position.

The 1734-TOP POINT I / O is grounded to the rack ground through a DIN rail. Use galvanized yellow chrome steel DIN rails to ensure proper grounding.
