Product Description

1756-IF16 Allen Bradley

Allen-Bradley 1756-IF16 is a non-isolated analog current / voltage I / O module. In order to connect to a ControlLogix chassis, the 1756-IF16 requires an RTB or removable junction box enclosure for the 1756-TBS6H or 1756-TBCH. The input module has 16 available points. Unlike other modules, the 1756-IF16 allows users to connect modules in different ways.

The 1756-IF16 can be wired in three different ways, depending on user and application requirements: single-ended wiring, differential wiring, and high-speed mode differential wiring. When all input devices are grounded, single-ended wiring is used. This is to compare the difference between the side of the signal input and the signal ground, which is then used by the module to generate digital data for the controller. Can complete 16 single-ended wiring. When the application does not have a common ground or can have separate signal pairs, a differential wiring method is recommended. This wiring method is also suitable for environments where noise immunity needs to be improved. The channels in differential mode are not completely isolated from each other.

1756-IF16 reference matters:
If multiple differential input signals have different voltage common references, one channel may affect the reading of another channel. When this happens, the user should connect the input to a different module or replace the non-isolated module with an isolated input module. The 1756-IF16 allows eight connections in this mode. Finally, the high-speed mode differential wiring method can realize the data update. However, the user must have certain conditions to use the high-speed mode. First, it uses the differential wiring method. Secondly, in this mode, only one of every four channels on the module can be used.

The power consumption of the 1756-IF16 module is 2.3 watts, and the total power of the backplane is 2.33 watts. The input range is ± 10 volts, from 0 to 10 volts, 0 to 5 volts, or 0 to 20 mA. The current diagram of the module is 5. 1 V is 150 mA, or 24 V is 65 mA. The voltage and current ratings of the backplane are DC 5.1 V, maximum 150 mA, maximum DC 24 V, 65 mA. The input current range is 4 to 20 mA, the input voltage range is -10 to 10 V, and it is limited to 100VA. The voltage power consumption is approximately 2.3 watts and the current power consumption is 3.9 watts.

The 1756-IF16 voltage has a heat dissipation of 7.84 BTU / hour and a current of 13.3 BTU / hour. It also has over voltage protection up to 30 V DC (voltage) and 8 V DC (current).
